Goldstone
Goldstone is actually a manmade material, made from suspending tiny copper fragments in stone and glass. It is usually a rich brick-red colour, which is similar to the colour copper goes when tarnished. There are literally millions of tiny copper fragments suspended in the stone, giving the stone a speckled golden glow and whatever angle you look at it.
Although it is manmade, it is widely used in lapidary and is considered a 'real' stone among jewellers. Copper is a mineral of energy and mental agility. In legend, copper is said to be the metal of the God Hermes, who facilitates that mental agility, and quick wit. Copper is an excellent conductor of energy, from electricity to the subtle energies emanating from higher planes, etc. Thus, copper is said to enhance and transmit thoughts, even over long distances.
Physically, copper is used to bringing in additional energies for all types of healing, treatment of arthritis, relieving pain of broken bones, sexual instability, and low energy.
Blue or black Goldstone is a stone of wisdom and science, teaching us to reach for the stars, and reminding us of the light within darkness. It, also, is infused with copper sparkles, a powerful energy generator.
